1-Year Baking and Pastry Program

This program will help students discover all that goes into creating delicious desserts as well as pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, and more.

The Baking and Pastry program prepares students for various aspects of the baking and pastry industry.  Students will start with the very basics such as how ingredients work together in order for students to make a commercial, sellable product.  Other content includes the making of various breads, cookies, pies, cakes, tortes, plated desserts, chocolates, and sugar work.

This course will help prepare students for either going into a culinary school or work in a bakery right after graduation.  Carver baking program uses the On Baking book.  Each student will also have the opportunity to participate in the Commercial Baking SKILLS/USA competition.
