Four 2023 PRSA Crystal Awards included:

PRSA Crystal Award: Single Issue Publication

PRSA Best of West Virginia Tactic Category: Bronze Award - Single Issue Publication

PRSA Crystal Award: Community Relations Simulated Workplace Project

PRSA Best of West Virginia Campaign Category: Gold Award - Community Relations Simulated Workplace Project

Carver Career Center’s Graphic Design program and the Belle Chemical Company partnered to participate in a year-long education project that involved designing a STEM-inspired coloring book called “The Things We Make: Belle Chemical.” This 20-page coloring book was created as a visual tool for elementary-aged students to educate them about chemical manufacturing and was distributed to six eastern Kanawha County elementary schools during the WVU Extension 4-H Outdoor Classroom.

We would also like to thank Dunbar Printing for their wonderful print job and allowing the Carver Graphic Design Students to tour the print shop as the coloring book was being printed.

Carver Graphic Design students are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing!
