Integrated Production Technology is “a family of activities that (a) depend on the use and coordination of information, automation, computation, software, sensing, and networking, and/or (b) make use of cutting edge materials and emerging capabilities enabled by the physical and biological sciences, for example, nanotechnology, chemistry, and biology. This involves both new ways to manufacture existing products, and especially the manufacture of new products emerging from new advanced technologies.”

Students will be introduced to manufacturing’s role in our society through project-based courses. Project topics will include but not limited to: reverse engineering/manufacturing basics, manufacturing role, DC motors, thermoforming and temperature control, tank volume and automated decision making, and production monitoring system – batch and separation systems.

The course through its rigorous designed curriculum of project-based learning activities and the use of advanced technology will provide students with the depth of knowledge needed to prepare them for more options after graduation.
