National Technical Honor Society

In 1984, C. Allen Powell and Jon H. Poteat launched the National Technical Honor Society from H. B. Swofford Career Center in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The mission of the organization is to honor student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership. The vision is to be the leader in providing recognition for excellence in career and technical education and creating significant occupational opportunities for America’s top workforce education students.
