Barbering Apprenticeship

Barbering Program

The course is 1200 hours and prepares students to work as Barbers. It is designed by the WV Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists.  Students will study sanitation, West Virginia state law, clipper cutting techniques, beard trimming, and also facial shaving. Students will also be taught the general knowledge and the history of barbering.

Barbering Cross Over Programs
We also offer  Barbering Cross Over programs for licensed Cosmetologists. The hours an individual student is required to take will depend on the cosmetology hours obtained previously. The cosmetology and barbering hours must be 2100 in total.  The class will cover all aspects of Barbering including clipper techniques, beard trimming, and facial shaving. It will also include West Virginia state law as well as general knowledge and the history of barbering. A requirement for the Barber Cross over class is you must have a current West Virginia license.
